I am a Licensed Psychologist in the State of California. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. I earned my Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) with an emphasis in Family Psychology from APA accredited Azusa Pacific University. My dissertation was a clinical application where by I created a group therapy manual for pregnant adolescents incorporating mindfulness approaches.
I fulfilled my pre-doctoral internship in Newberg, OR at the Chehalem Youth and Family Services outpatient and residential treatment facility where I provided therapeutic services to the adolescents who were in the residential program, completed psychological evaluations, and provided treatment services to children, families, and adults in the outpatient community mental health agency. I completed my post-doctoral training at the Child and Family Guidance Center in Northridge, CA, where I received intensive training in child abuse and trauma, psychological assessments using the therapeutic collaborative assessment model, and received specialized training in forensic assessment of sexual knowledge in children. I continue to work at the Child and Family Guidance Center as a licensed clinical psychologist providing therapeutic services, supervising externs and interns in psychological assessment and clinical work, and as the volunteer coordinator for community volunteers and the undergraduate students from the Child and Adolescent Development program at CSUN.
